Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 1982) is an acclaimed American actress. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. The TV film Murder in Greenwich where she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main protagonist for two seasons and also won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was a co-star together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, was looking to go into the world of film. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. She played the same role in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. She also appeared in the sixth series of Californication. The character she plays is Faith she is an admirer and muse to the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan She is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager when she appeared in small role in films made that her father directed. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 famous movie Donnie Darko. She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606), both of which garnered her Golden Globe Award nods. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). She was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). The subsequent roles she has played include Nanny McPhee as well as in the Big Bang and Hysteria. The other roles she's played include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller) and musicians in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as her role as the Kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The psychological drama won Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to be awarded the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
